Anna Frutos-Sanchez has been employed with Southern California Edison (the nation s second largest investor-owned utility) for over twenty years. Anna is the Local Public Affairs Region Manager responsible for the cities of Santa Clarita (Valencia, Newhall, Saugus, Canyon Country), San Fernando, Stevenson Ranch, Castaic, Agua Dulce, Tejon Ranch/Centennial, Frazier Park, Pine Mountain Club and Gorman. As a Region Manager, her primary responsibilities include interfacing with City Personnel, City Council, and other governmental entities; as well as, managing the company s governmental relations and involvement in the community. She is the face of the company and is present to answer questions, offer solutions and provide information. As the Local Public Affairs Region Manager, Anna also focuses on developing and advocating consistent public policy, legislation and regulations affecting Southern California Edison.
Anna serves on several non-profit Boards including the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita Foundation Board, Valley Industrial Association, College of the Canyons Foundation Board, and the Santa Clarita Valley Latino Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors.
Anna s altruistic nature has been demonstrated through her efforts to not only serve her community but most especially to assist and give aid to the less fortunate through connecting herself with many non-profit organizations. Anna received several awards from Congresswoman Hilda Solis, Assemblymember Judy Chu, Assemblymember Ed Chavez, Senator Gloria Romero and Senator Ron Calderon for her active community service.
Anna earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, after completing an Associate of Arts degree from Ventura College. She has completed several leadership programs with Landmark Education and continues to participate in Edison training classes to keep current on Edison issues. Anna completed a one-year Management Assignment with SCE Local Public Affairs in 2008.
Anna lives in Santa Clarita with her husband Robert, who retired from Southern California Edison after serving thirty-seven years as a Supervisor. Anna is very involved with the education of her grandchildren, and during her spare time enjoys reading, bicycling, walking, and listening to all kinds of music, plus dancing! Anna is bilingual (fluent in Spanish).
